Creativity is an integral part of who I am and what I do. I am, and have always been, inspired by the world around me. For as long as I can remember, I have been drawing, crafting, lettering and designing. These never-ending artistic interests led me to study fine art and graphic design in college, work as a designer in advertising after college, and eventually complete a Master in Fine Arts.

In 2008, I moved to Chicago and decided it was the perfect time to pursue my long-term goal of starting a freelance design career as well as teaching design at the college level. In the midst of all these life and career changes, I started Chena Design, my boutique design studio that specializes in custom stationery, illustration and graphic design.

With Chena, I wanted to create a small, unique, and intimate design studio based on creating beautiful custom design and building strong relationships with my clients. I firmly believe that everyone, no matter their budget, should be able to experience quality, custom and timeless design.

I absolutely love what I do and love helping people bring their visual dreams to life. Feel free to contact me about design, your inspirations, or anything else that comes to mind!

What do I do when I am not designing? You can find me exploring Chicago, reading a great book, blogging about design and inspiration over at my blog Tailored, or spending time with my loved ones.

Where does the name come from? Well, it is based on a childhood nickname, and seemed fitting for my studio since it has been a part of me for as long as my creative dreams have.
